Gourmet Market Otto’s Market Germantown
From Hudson Valley Magazine
Looking to hop on the local-food bandwagon, but not ready to give up some of your favorite brands? Not only does Otto’s offer some of the finest local products (cheeses, milk, eggs, granola, garlic, and more), but you can also find the familiar brands you grew up with (Tide detergent, Oreos, Ritz, Ragu Sauce, and — believe it or not — long-lost Quisp brand cereal). For the ultra-gourmet cook, a selection of imported jams, cheeses, and sauces is also available.

New Local Food Market Otto’s Market Germantown
Excerpt from Hudson Valley Magazine
A former VP at Whole Foods, Otto Leuschel opened his store in December 2008 in the space formerly occupied by the Central Market (which had been supplying groceries to Germantown residents since 1927). The market is winning raves by combining the feel of an old-time grocery with a wide-ranging array of foods. (Where else can you pick up both sriracha sauce and Velveeta?) Local products — Ronnybrook Farm dairy items, Rick’s Picks pickles, Eger’s Cider — are a specialty; the spot also does catering, and has a few tables where locals can mingle over espresso and scones (made fresh every day).
